By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading, or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies we may post. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance of changes. We will notify you of material changes via the App notification or email and you will be asked to agree on the changes.
2. User Accounts
- Registration: To use certain features, you must register an account with accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
- Eligibility: The App is intended for healthcare professionals, students, and related individuals. You represent that you are authorized to use the App in your professional or educational capacity.
- Verification: We may require verification of your credentials (e.g., medical license, National Provider Identification number or invitation code) to ensure the integrity of educational content on the App.
3. Content and User Contributions
- Your Content: You may comment, like, save, or share educational content such as images, videos, articles, or discussions related to healthcare topics. You retain ownership of your content but grant Medicine in Briefs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display it within the App for educational purposes.
- Guidelines: Content must be accurate, educational, and compliant with applicable laws (e.g., no misinformation, no patient-identifiable information without consent). Prohibited content includes: illegal material, hate speech, harassment, spam, or anything violating intellectual property rights.
- Moderation: We reserve the right to review, remove, or edit content at our discretion. We are not responsible for user-generated content but encourage reporting of violations.
4. Intellectual Property
- App Ownership: The App, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by Medicine in Briefs or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
- Use License: We grant you a limited, revocable license to use the App for personal, educational purposes. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the App.
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the App for commercial purposes without permission (e.g., advertising unrelated products).
- Share confidential patient information or violate privacy laws like HIPAA.
- Engage in unauthorized data scraping, hacking, or disrupting the App.
- Impersonate others or create fake accounts.
- Post content that could harm users, such as unverified medical advice.
6. Third-Party Links and Services: The App may contain links to third-party sites or integrate with services (e.g., social sharing). We are not responsible for their content or practices.
7. Termination: We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, without notice. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends, but these Terms' survival clauses remain in effect.
8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability:
- No Medical Advice: Content on the App is for educational purposes only and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult qualified healthcare providers.
- As-Is Basis: The App is provided “as is“ without warranties. We disclaim all liability for inaccuracies, interruptions, or damages.
- Limitation: In no event shall Medicine In Briefs be liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify Medicine In Briefs against claims arising from your use of the App, content, or violations of these Terms.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: These Terms are governed by the laws of State of Alabama. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Alabama, except for small claims.
11. Miscellaneous:
- Severability: If any provision is invalid, the rest remain enforceable.

- Limitation: In no event shall Medicine In Briefs be liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms.
